Mozart - Fantasia in d minor K. 397 for 4 cellos

This arrangement was inspired by an idea to push the limits of what I thought would work well with a cello ensemble. The result is pretty interesting with the Cello 1 part having to play a couple of tricky but fun cadenzas. Cellos 2, 3, and 4 have some material as well, but Cello 1 does most of the heavy lifting. This is a great piece if you are looking to show off a great player in your ensemble.

Tuba Mirum from Mozart's Requiem - arranged for 8 cellos

This arrangement for 8 cellos has the 4 cello solos acting as the vocal quartet of the original and the 4 other parts as the orchestra. Works well with a larger group and is a great piece to show off great student players since the solo parts are not extremely difficult.

Mozart's A Musical Joke, 1st Movement for 6 part Cello Ensemble.

Mozart's musical joke, picking on the bad composers of his day. I have left the voicing of the chords intact, so there are a few places that are "thick" in orchestration. This was intentional by Mozart. The effect is even more comical with a cello ensemble. This first Movement is marked Allegro.

Originally for string quartet and 2 horns. Each part is almost a direct transcription from the original. Part 1: Violin 1. Part 2: Violin 2. Part 3: Viola. Part 4: Cello. Part 5 and 6: Horn parts.

Designed for a multi-level ensemble. Parts 5 and 6 are beginner level, Parts 2, 3, and 4 are intermediate, and Part 1 is Advanced
